No, there is no membership required to be seen by our Doctors for an eye exam. The membership is only required to purchase glasses &/or contact lenses within the Costco Optical.
Optomap is a wide angle photo taken of the inside of your eyes to give the doctor a clear view of the inside of your eyes to evaluate the health of the retina and optic nerve. In most cases, we don’t need to dilate the eyes of our patients that elect for our Optomap imaging
Yes in most cases your eyes will be dilated or you may alternatively elect for our Optomap Imaging service. It is optional and you can choose not to, however a dilated eye exam or an Optomap image service is recommended by our doctor on every patient to allow us to better detect early signs of
Medicare covers the health check of the eye which is our comprehensive eye examination service, but does not cover the service for the glasses prescription, this service is called a refraction. We charge a small fee of $40 for this service.
